A cosy wooden cabin in a small cul de sac on a pleasant, well-established campsite(50th anniversary this year)offers a simple holiday or retirement home with low overheads. The property was reclad Nov 2009 and last revarnished Jan 2011.It is fully connected to the campsite electricity and water supply (both metered) and sewage system. There is a gas geyser for hot water run off bottled gas, which is also used for cooking (delivery of bottles is once a week).There is a Sat. TV dish. The cabin is fully furnished and has an open plan sitting,dining and kitchen area, two separate bedrooms and a full bathroom.At the front of the building there is a covered terrace and an open terrace area. Apart from fuel and water consumption,outgoings are limited to ground rent (presently 2,800€ payable twice yearly-due April 2012) and insurance (c130€ pa-due Jan 2013). The campsite is about 30mins drive from the coast (Puerto de Mazarrón,about 15mins drive from the Sierra de Espuña, about 45 mins drive from Alicante, the new Corvera and Murcia airports and about 15mins drive from the soon to be built Paramount theme park It is situated in a rural area (mainly vineyards and cultivated fields) with hills in the background and is about 2kms from the nearest town, Totana. Totana is a pleasant town of about 40.000 inhabitants which offers a weekly market and an efficient health centre as well as all the usual services such as PO,banks,shops etc. The Campsite is small and friendly and peopled by long-stay British residents(mainly retired people),Spanish weekenders and short-stay international campers. It is run by an Anglo-Spanish couple and their children. Pleasantly green with a variety of trees and flowers, it is constructed on a series of terraces which descend from the main entrance.Access is controlled by a reception office and an electronic gate. Post is delivered to reception for collection from a locked post-box.There is a play area for small children,a duck pond and a small farm with ponies,goats etc.There is also a social room, used for neighbours get-togethers during the winter months and a small gym.The swimming pool,jacuzzi,bar and small shop are open during the summer months. For the seriously interested, 2 nights free accommodation for 2 people can be arranged. The price is negotiable as is payment by instalments.
